AR Storybook through mobile apps! (CDM Capstone) Jackie and the Beanstalk is an AR storybook project made possible through mobile apps and physical picture books. Within the Centre of Digital Media, our team, BeAR Cave Studios, proceeded to create a prototype for our client, Hammer & Tong!

Brief

The basis of the briefing provided by our client, Hammer & Tong, was to research and develop a preliminary prototype and production process for Augmented Reality books that were focused around teaching a language.

The main constrictions from the brief consisted of the final product should use French as it’s “teaching” language and that the final builds should be on IOS. The narrative of the “book” was to be decided through a narrative between the team (BE-AR Cave Studios) and client.
